Sales Engineer

Requirements:

Business Development:

Channel mapping. Support to identify, assess & appoint channel partners. Establish & monitor performance

End user market mapping – large corp, key verticals; POS & labels. Direct end user engagement to assess needs and promote products.

Conduct regular sales calls targeting top resellers. Manage & support to distributor; engage in monthly distributor review meeting.

Media partners mapping – Source and appoint few local media supplier for Labels business

Product Management & Marketing:

  • Market intelligence: Track, gather, analyze & report market trend & competitor activities
  • Support all ATL (eg: advertising) & BTL (eg: public events) marketing & sales promotions. Review & analyze ROI
  • Conduct sales & product training
  • Price management: Channel pricing communications. Support price discount management
  • Provide monthly sales forecasting

Presales:

  • Provide basic training to reseller engineers on drivers’ installation/configuration, label software (eg: Bartender), label printer CPP calculator etc
  • Provide technical consultation
  • Provide 1st level product troubleshooting. Respond to end user’s complaint on product performance
  • Work closely with Pre-Sales team to implement customized solution(s). Understand & gather requirements, correspond with Pre-Sales, test & roll out
  • Source and perform basic compatibility test of 3rd party media for label printers
  • Provide technical support at public events like exhibitions & seminars

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in Business/Marketing/Computer Studies/Electrical & Electronic or equivalent from a recognized institution
  • At least 3 years of working experience in the in the POS and/or industrial label industry in a technical sales &/or product marketing capacity
  • Must be willing to travel and meet customer
  • Must have good presentation and communication skills (both written & spoken) in native & English language
  • Independent, highly motivated, pro-active and result oriented
